"Amy Chapman's Funeral"

Ruby Pickens Tartt is being interviewed about the dealth of Amy Chapman by someone by the initial L.H. No information was given about Ruby. However, lots was given about Amy. For example, Amy was a colored female. Amy was born a slave and learned to be a seamstress. She died at the age of 95 and that is about when the interview took place. To be spacific, the interview took place on September 28, 2938 in Livingston, Alabama. I read that Amy was a very determined strong women. ALso very giving. Even while she was ill, she went out to her garden just to pick some potatoes for a thank you gift. It was said that she had a vigor mind and body. Overall, I am extremly impressed by this women. I hope I grow up to be as kind with such a long and fufilling life.

"Terrapin Dogs"

Lawrence F.Evans is being interviewed in Fairhope, Alabama by S.J. The date January 4, 1939. The man being interviewed does not spend anytime talking about himself. Meaning, his age, race, etc. The interview is more of a story mixed with some facts. He starts off by talking about how he trained a collie to hunt rattlesnakes and how good of a nose he had. But then he started talking about the dogs abillity to hunt terrain. He states the facts that there are two types of terrain: salt water and chicken. He goes on to tell that the dogs kill them by holding them down with their paws and then on to that they can be worth up to $1.25 a pound. This interview sort of confused me. Hunting dogs isn't really something that interests me. However I'm sure it would to an actual hunter and for that purpose I think this man did a good job explaining.
